Martin Steines Obituary

Martin J. Steines, 37, died unexpectedly on February 17, 2024, at Red Cloud, Nebraska. The son of Daniel McMillan and Alice Steines, he was born August 4, 1986, at Bakersfield, California.

Martin spent his developing years growing up in California, Missouri and Nebraska. Following the completion of his formal education, he worked at a number of jobs including employment with a hog operation, working as a mechanic and detailing cars, and then after getting his CDL, he drove a truck for a period of time. He also dedicated himself to helping to care for his mother, Aly, as she struggled through health issues.

In his leisure time he pursued a number of interests and hobbies including motorcycles, four-wheelers, cars, hand fishing in area ponds and rivers, magnet fishing for whatever the hidden waters held, shooting and hunting. He was a friend to everyone he met and especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Surviving are his mother, Aly Steines of Blue Hill, Nebraska; his daughter, Aaliyah Steines of Grand Island, Nebraska; his partner, Kristin Talbert of Red Cloud; brothers, Angel McMillan of Hastings, Nebraska; Daniel McMillan of Casper, Wyoming; Jeremiah Bright of Bakersfield, California; sisters, Christina Wulf and husband, Les, of Grants Pass, Oregon; Drew McMillan of Sacramento, California; his aunt Gwen Fitzgerald of Blue Hill, Nebraska; other relatives and his many friends.

A celebration of life will be held Sunday, 11:00 am, February 25, 2024, at Westgate Manor in Blue Hill, Nebraska.

Memorials are suggested to the family.
