Troy Covey, 53, of Belton, Missouri passed away at his home on April 6, 2024. He was born in Minden, Nebraska on November 19, 1970, to Diana (Kindscher) and Gary Reiss, and was later adopted by Duane Covey.
Troy attended Broken Arrow High School in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Rhema Bible College in Broken Arrow. He was united in marriage with Natasha Davids and together they had two children, Vox Dylan and Indra Diana. He pastored Solomon's Porch in Kansas City and later managed as CEO Smith Morgan Farms near Belton, Missouri. Troy loved his family and spent every leisure moment with them. He loved motorcycles, Indian Butter chicken, sports and ministering to others. He loved seeing others excel and accomplish who they were called to be. His motto was "Champions fight for others and Winners fight for themselves." This summed up who he truly was.
Surviving are his wife, Natasha Covey; his children, Vox Covey and Indra Covey; his parents, Duane and Diana Covey; brothers, Timothy Covey and Michael Covey; Curt Reiss and a sister, Mandy Kniesteatdt; two nieces; three nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ryan Covey.
Graveside services were Sunday, 2:00 pm, April 14, 2024, at the Bostwick Cemetery in Nuckolls county, Nebraska.
A tribute memorial service will be held 10:00 am, Saturday, April 20, 2024, at Memorial 1C22 Church, 10001 W. 88th Street, Overland Park, Kansas 66212
