She always said she had a wonderful childhood being with her siblings and doing many activities together. On September 16, 1943, she was united in marriage to John Harold Shedlock, in Brooklyn, New York. To this union, two children were bom; Laraine , and John. In 1947, the family moved from Brooklyn, New York to Rochester, New York. Anne stayed at home to raise the family. She enjoyed keeping busy and had many interests; sewing, cooking, knitting, crocheting, painting, playing Bridge, crafting, camping in younger years and traveling with her husband in later years.
In 1976, Anne and John moved to Califomia to live near their son, John and his wife, Mary. While there, they traveled all over Califomia and westem states in their camper. While in Califomia, Anne began oil painting and took up Bridge, where she was a member of the American Contract Bridge League. After her husband's death, Anne moved to Red Cloud, Nebraska to be near family. She enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her great-grandsons, Ben and Gage who were such a joy to her. She enjoyed riding in the car and never failed to comment on the big beautiful sky here in Nebraska. Even when she lost her ability to speak in her last year of life, she would look at the sky in the car and motion toward it. She loved life and had a wonderful, positive, outlook. She was a joy to be with.
