Bonnie Lu Drapal

Bonnie Lu Drapal the daughter of Leonard O. and Maude B. (Young) Bailey was born January 27, 1937 at Edgar, Nebraska.  She departed this life on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at her home in Superior, Nebraska at the age of 81 years 4 months and 14 days.

Bonnie's first marriage ended in divorce and she then moved back to her home state of Nebraska where she met and married Roy Drapal on April 2, 1983.  Bonnie was a hard worker and held many jobs which included: a grocery store clerk, Chef in a restaurant,  motel maid, and was a CNA at a nursing home in both Grangeville, Idaho and Superior, Nebraska.

Bonnie loved football and she never missed a Nebraska football game if she could help it!  Bonnie always was ready to discuss the Huskers with anyone who was interested.  Bonnie enjoyed feeding and watching the wild life coming to eat what she put out for them.  She enjoyed gardening and canning the produce.  Bonnie always looked forward to visiting with family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her stepmother, Leva Bailey and her sons: Tim and Leonard.

Survivors include her husband Roy Drapal of Superior, NE; sons: Stephen Baker and wife Betty of Lewiston, ID; Chauncey Baker of Missoula, MT; daughters: Maxine Duckett of Great Falls, MT and Paula Rickman and husband Jeff of Anatone, WA; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren as well as step children, grandchildren which she thought of as her own; extended survivors include nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services were Monday 10:30 AM, June 18, 2018 at the Church of the Plains in Edgar, Nebraska with the  Rev. Ethan Feistner officiating.  Burial was at the Edgar Cemetery.
