Evalin Lillich Obituary

Evalin I. Lillich, the daughter of Reinhold and Emma Werner Vieselmeyer, was born September 29, 1921 at Ruskin, Nebraska.  She passed away on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at the Parkview Haven Nursing Home in Deshler, Nebraska at the age of 96 years and 10 months.

Evalin was one of seven children and was baptized on October 9, 1921 at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Ruskin, Nebraska. She attended St Mark parochial school and was confirmed on May 16, 1935 by Rev. Otto Wittig.  Evalin graduated from Ruskin High School with the class of 1939.

On September 21, 1941 Evalin was united in marriage to Everett Lillich at St Mark Lutheran Church by the Rev. F.C. Rhode.  The couple lived in Davenport, Nebraska until Everett enlisted in the Air Force on June 19, 1942.  Everett returned from England in 1945.  Evalin and Everett then lived in Deshler and it was at this time that Everett joined Marwin and Erwin Vieselmeyer to start the Superior-Deshler Propane Plant.  In 1950 they then moved to Edgar, Nebraska and started the Superior-Deshler plant.  In 1960, they moved again to Superior and Everett managed the new Superior-Deshler plant. A few years later, he started the Ace Gas Company.  Evalin loved traveling with the 5th wheel trailer and golfing.  She was a long-time member of Centennial Lutheran Church of Superior, NE and the Lutheran Women's Missionary League  serving in various positions.  Evalin served on the Hospital board from 1965-1971 and was a member of the Hospital Auxiliary.  Evalin always looked forward to playing bridge with several clubs. She enjoyed being a homemaker, a wife, mother and grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her parents: brothers: Allen, Harlin, Erwin, Marwin, Orval, and a sister Lillian Cucuzzo; husband Everett; daughter Sandra Lipker, son Gary Lillich and great granddaughter Violet Hansen.

Survivors include her daughter Debra Hansen and husband Milan,  son-in-law Allen Lipker and wife Jeannie, daughter-in-law Pam Lillich; 5 grandchildren: Scott Lipker and wife Jill, Todd Lipker, Ben Hansen and spouse Heehun Yang, Jake Hansen and wife Laura, Amanda Scott and husband Zac; 5 great grandchildren: Lauren Lipker, Troy Lipker, Ava Hansen, Evan Hansen and Vaeda Hansen; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were Thursday 10:30 am, August 9, 2018 at Centennial Lutheran Church in Superior, Nebraska with Pastor Robert Hopkins officiating.  Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery, Superior.
