Howard Scott Peshek the son of Orvis and Norma Witte Peshek was born January 6, 1970 at Hastings, Nebraska. He departed this life on Monday May 21, 2018 at the Bryan Medical Center East in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 48 years.
Howard graduated from Sandy Creek High School with the class of 1988, he then went to Chadron State College and earned his Bachelor's degree. While in Chadron, Howard was a volunteer fireman and was known to everyone as "Duck". Howard remained in the Chadron area for 15 years and had worked for various ranchers and this is where he began his trucking career. Howard then moved to Alliance and began working for Dayco Manufacturing, he then moved to Lincoln, Nebraska in 2001. On June 14, 2002 Howard was united in marriage to Tami Ziegenbein at Pioneers Park in Lincoln. Howard then found employment with TCW Construction and drove truck and became their trucking supervisor. In 2009 Howard became an independent trucker, doing over the road work with Cedar Hill Express.
Howard was an Eagle Scout and at the time he earned this honor he was the youngest in the area to do so. In their spare time Howard and Tami enjoyed catch and release fishing.
Survivors include his wife Tami of Lincoln, Nebraska; parents Orvis and Norma Peshek of Hastings, NE; sisters Ramona Peshek of Wichita, KS; Beverly Puckett and husband Don of Lincoln, NE; brother Everett Peshek and wife Michelle of Wichita, KS; nephews: Jesse, Cody and Brennan; nieces: Amanda, Amy, Savannah and Madison, a great niece Presley, other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday 10:30 AM, May 30, 2018 at the Community Presbyterian Church in Fairfield, Nebraska. Pastors Ivan and Joyce Dean will be officiating. Burial will be held at the Fairfield Cemetery, Fairfield, NE. Memorials in lieu of flowers may be directed to the family. Condolences may be sent to the family at wmsfh.com.
