Jan Ferebee

Willa Genese "Jan" Ferebee, the daughter of Addie (Caldwell) and Clarence Iliff, was born February 2, 1925 in Nuckolls County, Nebraska. She departed this life on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at the Heritage Care Center in Red Cloud, Nebraska at the age of 93 years and 25 days.

​Jan grew up in the Edgar area and graduated from the Edgar High School with the class of 1942. She was united in marriage with Ralph Edward Ferebee on February 4, 1945 near Angus, Nebraska. In January of 1948, they moved to Red Cloud to make their home. Jan was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Legion Ladies Auxiliary, the Webster County Community Hospital Pink Ladies and she was a Girl Scout Leader. Both Jan and Ralph was actively involved with the Red Cloud community and especially enjoyed following the youth's sports and volunteered many hours taking tickets at the ball fields and supporting the children.

​Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Ralph, on June 15, 2001; a sister, Wanda Iliff and brother, Donald Iliff.

​Surviving are her children, Gregg Ferebee of Stamford, Nebraska; Kara Delano and husband, Keith, of McCook, Nebraska, and Ann Ringlein and husband, Ray, of Lincoln, Nebraska; 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

​Memorial services will be held at a later date.
