Jennie Eileen Wentworth, the daughter of Marguerite Lillian (Suey) and Hiram Alvin Moger, was born June 27, 1936 at Red Cloud, Nebraska. She departed this life on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at the Webster County Community Hospital in Red Cloud at the age of 83 years, 5 months and 3 days.

A lifelong resident of the area, Jennie received her formal education attending the Red Cloud schools. In 1951, she was united in marriage with William Dean Wentworth at Red Cloud. This union was blessed with five children, Marla Jean, Sharon Lynn, Dennis Dean, William Garth and Merie Eileen. Jennie then began to pursue her career in health care as an aide at the Franklin Care Center. She continued her education by earning her LPN Degree from Kearney Nursing School and was employed with the Sprague Nursing Home and the Webster County Community Hospital. She was the Director of Nursing in Maxwell, Kansas at the nursing home and later with the hospital in Red Cloud. She was employed for a time with the American Red Cross and then served as surveyor for long term care with the Nebraska Department of Health & Human Services. Jennie possessed a number of interests and activities throughout her life. She enjoyed reading, working puzzles, dancing, playing the piano and crocheting. Her personality was pervaded by her warm and caring nature and her greatest love and enthusiasm in life was for her family. She was an active member of the Women's Missionary Council, the Rebekah Lodge in Guide Rock, and the Red Cloud Revival Tabernacle Church.
