Jimmy L Mooney

Jimmy Lewis Mooney, the son of Rosemary (Zaleski) and Charles Lewis Mooney, was born March 13, 1972 at Berwyn, Illinois. He departed this life unexpectedly on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at the Webster County Community Hospital in Red Cloud, Nebraska at the age of 46, years, 5 months and 17 days.

Jimmy received his formal education attending school in Aurora, Illinois. After finishing school he moved to Minnesota where he was employed with a lawn care company. He later moved south to Georgia where he continued with the lawn care business. He worked for a period of time as a clerk in a liquor store and then began his employment with Boar’s Head Food Services. In 2014, Jimmy moved to Nebraska and made he home at Inavale where he worked construction around the area.

In his leisure time he had a number of hobbies and interests. His greatest love was spending time outdoors, whether he was ice fishing, camping, golfing or kayaking just to name a few. He especially cherishing time spent with his family and friends.

Left to cherish his memory are his fiancé, Sarah Reed and children, Phoenix and Memphis Kincade; his daughter, Angel Whichard of Chesapeake, Virginia and daughters, Fabienne and Sophia Elliott; his son, Jimmy Mooney and wife, Gretchen, and children, Sky and Jimmy; and his mother, Rosemary Mooney of Joliet, Illinois. Also surviving are four sisters, Barbara Goodkind and husband, Bruce, of Tampa, Florida; Laura Pardon of Joliet, Illinois; Diana Luciano and husband, Joe, of Joliet, Illinois; and Lucille Hick and husband, Kenneth, of Marseilles, Illinois; three brothers, John Mooney and wife, Cindy, of Atlanta, Georgia; Shawn Ramirez and wife, Nicole, of Joliet, Illinois and Andrew Mooney of Illinois; other relatives and a host of friends.

Memorial services were Tuesday, 10:30 a.m., September 4, 2018 at the Williams Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Bennett (Red Cloud Bible Church) officiating.
