Kay Adams Obituary

Margaret Kay Adams (71) of Omaha, Nebraska passed away surrounded by family March 6, 2019 at the Methodist Hospital in Omaha. Kay was born in Superior, Nebraska January 16, 1948 to John and Wanda (Thayer) Adams. She was the oldest of four children.

She was joined in marriage to Max Adams June 17, 1966. They were married 52 years. They had two sons and one daughter. Most of her life, Kay was a stay-at-home mother and grandmother, taking pride in her ability to take care of her family. She and Max ran two businesses during her life. They moved to Omaha, Nebraska in 2001. There she continued to be a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and wife. Kay loved to sew, play piano, cook, write calligraphy, and provide for her family.

Kay loved her family more than anything and took pride in sharing all concerts, sporting events, and graduations for her children and grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents, John and Wanda Adams, brother Kenny Adams, and brother-in-law Krage Kowalke.

Left to treasure her memory are her husband, Max Adams, sisters Tami Kowalke and Becky South and Dave South, sister-in-law Carol Adams, son Joe Adams and wife Dee Adams, daughter Jane Messel and husband Kevin Messel, son Jarod Adams and wife April Adams, grandchildren Andrea, Morgan, McKenzie, and Rachel, as well as many other friends and family members.

Funeral services were Monday, 11:00 a.m., March 11, 2019 at the United Methodist Church in Superior with the Rev. Dwight Kahre officiating. Interment was at the Evergreen Cemetery in Superior.
