Robert Rose

Robert Rose (of Edgar, NE) the son of Paul and Ruth (Mueller) Rose was born October 19, 1942 at Kearney, Nebraska.  He passed away on Saturday January 6, 2018 at Mary Lanning Hospital in Hastings, Nebraska at the age of 75 years.

Bob was united in marriage to Carol (Borm) on August 15, 1965 in Kearney. This  union was blessed with the birth of 2 children. Bob was a high school math teacher for 43 years. He was an active member of the Edgar Fire and Rescue for 36 years. 

Bob is survived by his wife, Carol; children, Rob (Renee) of Newman Grove and Mikki (Bob) Kirkpatrick of Lincoln; 4 granddaughters, whom he adored, Elizabeth, Eran, Robby and Taylor; 3 step-grandchildren, Kelly (Aaron) Schlee of Lindsay, Bailey (Mike) Jorgensen of Bennington and Cody (Miranda) Nelsen of Columbus and 10 great-grandchildren; sister Mary (Monty) Fletcher of Spencer; sisters-in-law Betty Huntsman of Brady, Sheryl Collins of Kansas, Mary Borm & Dewey Keys of Hershey; brother-in-law Harold (Lynne) Borm of Phoenix, AZ and many nieces and nephews.

He was proceeded in death by his parents Paul and Ruth Rose and in-laws Albert and Juanita Borm.

He lived his life to serve others and touched countless lives in the process. He enjoyed gardening, golfing, camping and he loved his puppies.

Funeral services were Thursday 11:00 a.m., January 11, 2018 at First St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Hastings, Nebraska with  Pastor Joel Remmers officiating.  Burial was in the Edgar Cemetery, Edgar, Nebraska. 

The family is requesting memorials in lieu of flowers.
