Robin Shaw

Robin ViAnn Shaw, the daughter of Doris Joan (Stoner) and Robert Benjamin Shaw, was born December 7, 1954 at Red Cloud, Nebraska. She departed this life on Monday, May 20, 2019 at the St. Francis Hospital in Grand Island, Nebraska at the age of 64 years, 5 months and 13 days.

Robin was a normal little girl, sweet and loving. After receiving the smallpox vaccination, the anti-virus attacked her brain and her mental health. She was sent to the Beatrice State Home and spent many years there. Later in her life she moved to a Mosaic group home in Grand Island, Nebraska.

Preceding her in death were her grandparents; her mom and dad, Joan and Bob Shaw, many aunts, uncles and numerous cousins.

Left to cherish Robin’s memory are her brother, Kim Shaw of Axtell, Nebraska; niece, Mandi Brooks (Sherman) and family of Tampa, Florida; nephew, Kris Shaw (Katie) and family of Edgar, Nebraska; nephew, Benjamin Shaw and fiancé, Debbie Dozeal of Kearney, Nebraska; aunt, Patsy Stoner of Red Cloud, Nebraska; as well as many old friends and cousins.

God surely took an angel home.

Funeral services will be held Friday, 10:30 a.m., May 24, 2019 at the Williams Funeral Home in Red Cloud with the Rev. Warren Schoming officiating. Interment will be at the Guide Rock Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Wednesday and Thursday 9:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to the Guide Rock Cemetery Fund or Mosiac Care in Grand Island.
