​Stephanie Ann Stewart, 49, of Malcolm, Nebraska departed this life on Sunday, January 7, 2018.  She was born May 25, 1968 at Red Cloud, Nebraska to Mona M. (Doyle) and Ronald C. Gestring.  

​Stephanie taught in the Malcolm Public School system for over ten years. She was a member of NEA and the Malcolm Education Association.  She enjoyed watching the many sporting and music activities of her three sons. She was Angus Queen of Nebraska from 1984-1985, as well as a Drum Majorette while attending the Red Cloud High School.  She was united in marriage with Kurt Stewart in Red Cloud, Nebraska on July 25, 1987.  This union was blessed with three sons.

​Family members include her husband, Kurt; sons, Ryan, Adam and Josh all of Malcolm, Nebraska; her parents, Ronald and Mona Gestring of David City, Nebraska; a sister, Ronda Gestring of David City; aunts, Tammy Gestring and Kay Blackstone of Red Cloud, Nebraska; nieces, nephews; in-laws, Marvin and Sharon Stewart of Elmwood, Nebraska; extended family and friends.  Preceding her in death was her brother, Charles (Chuck) Gestring.

​Funeral services will be held Saturday, 10:00 a.m., January 13, 2018 at the Malcolm High School.  Interment will be at the Malcolm Cemetery.

​Visitation will be held Friday, 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Roper & Sons Chapel in Lincoln with the family greeting friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m.

Memorials may be given in lieu of flowers to the family for a future designation.
