Albin on July 28, 1936 in Red Cloud, Nebraska.  Three children were born to Velma and Roger - Ruth Ellen, Roger Eugene and Robert Edwin.  They lived in Minneapolis, Minnesota for a short time and returned to the farm north of Guide Rock until the fall of 1970, when they moved to Kearney, Nebraska.  Velma attended LPN School and graduated in 1972, after which she worked at Mt.
