Barbara A. (Walker) Anderson

Barbara Arline Anderson, the daughter of Earl D. and Edith Lorraine (Wilson) Walker, was born June 17, 1943, at Onley Springs, Colorado. She departed this life on July 30, 2022, at the Harvard Rest Haven in Harvard, Nebraska at the age of 79 years, 1 month and 13 days.

Barb spent her childhood years in Colorado where she attended school and received her formal education. At the completion of her school, she remains in Colorado and worked on the family farm and with the livestock and chickens. She was married in 1960, to George Forbes in Colorado. They lived in the Pikes Peak area where they operated a resort for a number of years. Barbara later moved to Pueblo, Colorado and then in 1966, she moved to the Riverton area. Their marriage later ended in divorce.

On June 19, 1992, Barb was married to Jimmy Anderson at Hastings, Nebraska.. They were blessed with thirty years together. In her leisure time she enjoyed quilting, singing with music and especially participating in karaoke. If there was a pitch or bingo game, she was quick to join in. Her personality was pervaded by her keen sense of humor and she always enjoyed pulling pranks on family and friends alike. Her greatest love and enthusiasm in life was for her family and she treasured the time they spent together.

Preceding her in death were her parents and brothers, Donnie, Chester and Rex.

Surviving are her husband, Jimmy Anderson of Harvard, Nebraska; her children: Debra Price and Joe of Hastings, Nebraska; Jackie Rozmiarek and Rick of Harvard; Darren Forbes and LaVeta of Juniata, Nebraska and Farrin Forbes of Hastings. She was also blessed with 17 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were Thursday, 10:30 am,  August 4, 2022, at the Williams Funeral Home in Red Cloud with the Rev. Dan Benedict officiating.
Interment was at the Riverton Cemetery.
