Betty Sue Hobelman the daughter of Emery and Ruth Topliff Hobelman was born April 25, 1950 at Belleville, Kansas. She departed this life on Friday July 27, 2018 at the Good Samaritan Center in Superior, Nebraska at the age of 68.
Betty was baptized and confirmed at Centennial Lutheran Church in Superior, Nebraska. She attended kindergarten through the 9th grade in Superior, Nebraska and graduated from Harry A. Burke High School in Omaha, NE. Betty then started her automotive career with Dewey Smith Chevrolet in Omaha, and then to Hobelman Motors in Hebron, NE from there she worked for Stan Olsen, Metro Motors and Atchley Ford all in Omaha. Betty moved back to Superior, Nebraska and retired from Ideal Market.
Betty enjoyed sewing, especially quilts, crafts, doll making and woodworking. Betty's cookies, making jams for others was a special enjoyment for her.
She is preceded in death by her father, Emery Hobelman and a nephew Jon Erickson.
Survivors include her mother Ruth Hobelman of Superior, NE; sisters: Mary Shrontz of Hebron, NE; Patti Vice and husband Bill of Omaha, NE; Peggy Saathoff and husband Kurt of Waterloo, NE; Pam Sandman of Chandler, AZ, many nieces, nephews other relatives and a host of friends.
The family would like to thank Brodstone Hospital, Superior Good Samaritan Center, Hospice, Doctors, nurses, health care workers, volunteers and Pastor Robert Hopkins for all the help and care and a special thank you for Tom and Sherry Marr and Cindy Carter.
Betty's wishes were to be cremated. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 1:00 PM at the Centennial Lutheran Church in Superior, Nebraska. Pastor Robert Hopkins will be officiating. Burial will be held at a later date. Condolences may be sent to the family at wmsfh.com. Williams Funeral Home of Superior, NE is in charge of the arrangements.
