Brian Spurrier Obituary

Brian Glen Spurrier was born September 25, 1982, in Red Cloud, Nebraska to Elton Elmer and Joan (Wall) Spurrier.  He spent hist first 5 years on the family farm near Lebanon, Kansas until he moved to Hastings, Nebraska in 1987. He attended Juniata Elementary and Hastings High School.

A natural born mechanic, he enjoyed repairing small engines, old Ford pickups and anything else he thought he could fix.  He followed in his father’s footsteps with a love for antique John Deere tractors and the shows to display them.

He was a member of Platte Valley Antique Machinery Association where he enjoyed parading and showing off his tractor at the annual show at Crystal Lake near Ayr, NE.  He was always helping people and made friends easily.  He had a mind of his own and didn’t like following rules that made no sense to him.  He was a loving son, brother, husband and father.  He did not live long enough to meet his coming grandchildren but was very excited about their impending arrival.

On July 7, 2014, he was untied in marriage to Lois Schneider Stromer, his soulmate.  Together they had 2 children, joining both his and her children from previous relationships.

He is survived by his children, Tessa Rothfuss Stone (J.T), Christian Spurrier (Neveah Weber), Lance Henry, Braydyn Spurrier and Hope Spurrier; stepchildren Kristopher Stromer, Hannah Stromer, Briannah Stromer, Raeanna Stromer; his parents, Elton Elmer and Joan Spurrier; his brother Elmer Spurrier; his uncles, Nell Wall, Gene Wall, and Bill Stevens; his grandmother Pat Stevens, newborn grandson Zyler Clarence Spurrier  and a host of cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife Lois, his grandparents Glen and Ruth Spurrier, grandfather George Wall, Aunts Glenda Kress and Jaqi Ferg.
