Carolyn Marie Jackson, the daughter of Myrtle (Tietjen) and Lester L. Jackson, was born July 25, 1956 at Red Cloud, Nebraska. She departed this life on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 63 years, 7 months and 12 days.
Carolyn received her formal education attending Spring Valley country school and the Campbell High School. In 1972, she was united in marriage with Rex Walker and this union was blessed with three sons, Jessie, Travis and Jeremy. Carolyn was employed for over twenty years as a semi-truck driver and worked for Lammers Trucking for eighteen years. She also helped driving trucks for area farmers during harvest time.
Her personality was pervaded by a strong work ethic and an immeasurable love for her family. In her leisure time Carolyn enjoyed crocheting, sewing, gardening and the companionship of her dogs. Her greatest loves and enthusiasm in life was spending time with her family and friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Myrtle and Lester Jackson; a sister, Joyce Lucht, and her brother, Gene Jackson.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Jessie Jackson and wife, Erica, of Ft. Lupton, Colorado; Travis Jackson and wife, Jessica, of Franklin, Nebraska and Jeremy Jackson and wife, Kelly, of Riverton, Nebraska and eight grandchildren: Bradley, Jarrett, Madison, Cole, Rylee, Liam, Emma and Jacob Jackson. Also surviving are a sister, Marjorie Rose and husband, Les, of Riverton, Nebraska; sister-in-law, Bev Jackson of Franklin; brothers, George Jackson and wife, Caroline, of Riverton and Mike Jackson and wife, Candy, of Blue Hill, Nebraska; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Memorial services were 11:00 am, Saturday, March 14, 2020 at the Williams Funeral Home in Red Cloud with Rev. Kasey Loschen officiating.
A memorial fund has been established by the family for later designation.
