Charles L Arnel

Charles Lee Arnel Jr. (of Superior, NE) was born November 27, 1944, in Fresno California to Robert Alonzo Arnel and Nettie Mae Foster. He grew up in Seaside and Monterey California. He was the youngest of 5 children.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Edith Arnel and Jeannie Coleman.   A daughter, Shelly Noreen Arnel also preceded him in death.

Charles was an over the road truck driver for several years. He then took training as a diesel mechanic. He also was a landscaper. He loved the outdoors.
His wife, Bonnie Arnel (Doyle) was loved dearly. He also loves his children, Charles Lee Arnel and Connie; Christopher David Arnel and Brooke and daughter Amanda Nielsen and Missy; grandchildren and great grandchild. He has been a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. His children, including his family are Michael Avalos, Dillon Arnel, Jordan Arnel, Brianna Valencia (Justin), Azucena Gutierrez, Mackenzie Arnel, Abraham Arnel, Emmanuel Gutierrez, Chase Arnel, Kaitlyn Nielsen, Liam Nielsen, and Avery Nielsen.  His great granddaughter is Lilly Valencia. His sisters Scharline Messinger and Bobbie Mae Arnel. He loved them all. He had many more missionaries and youth call him grandpa.
He was a funny man who loved to make people laugh. He was well known in the community due to his jokes and his yellow suspenders.
He never met a stranger and always helped those in need.
In April 2005, he joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved the church and was Santa for many years before his health started to decline.
Charles was a great man. Just ask his family. He gained his wings June 23, 2021 at the age of 76. He will be missed by many.

Memorial services were Saturday 10:00 am, June 26, 2021 at the Williams Funeral Home Chapel in Superior, Nebraska with Pastor Natalie Faust officiating.  There will be no burial at this time.  Condolences may be sent to the family at wmsfh.com.  Williams Funeral Home of Superior, NE is in charge of the arrangements.
