Chuck Kucera Obituary

Chuck E. Kucera, 72, of Red Cloud, Nebraska died Monday, June 7, 2021 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. He was born February 22, 1949 to Ann Louise (McPartland) and Theodore A. Kucera at Red Cloud, Nebraska.

Chuck grew up in the Red Cloud community and received his formal education attending the Red Cloud schools, graduating with the class of 1967. He then entered the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam War.  Following his discharge from service, Chuck moved to Lincoln, Nebraska where he was employed with the University of Nebraska. He then began his thirty-plus year career with the United States Postal Service, retiring in 2012. In 2013, he returned to Red Cloud to make his home and enjoy his retirement.

In his leisure time his fondest activities included fishing, camping and gardening.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Ted and Louise Kucera.  Left to treasure his memory are his brothers, Richard and Kathy Kucera, and Phil and Sherri Kucera all of Red Cloud. Also surviving are his nieces, nephews and many friends.

Graveside services will be held Friday, 10:00 am., June 11, 2021 at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Red Cloud with Rev. Paul Frank officiating. (Casual dress attire requested.)
