Curtis L Johnson

Curtis (Curt) Lee Johnson, 62 of Edgar died on Sunday, December 5th, 2021, at Bryan East Hospital in Lincoln, Nebraska. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, December 9th, 2021, at Williams Funeral Home in Edgar with David King officiating. Burial will be followed at the Edgar Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 pm, Wednesday, December 8th, 2021, at Williams Funeral Home in Edgar. Condolences may be sent to the family at wmsfh.com.

Curt was born October 4th, 1959, to Darrel and Effie (Helberg) Johnson. Curt grew up on the farm, outside of Edgar, and made it his life-long home. He attended Edgar Elementary and graduated from Sandy Creek High School in 1977.

Curt married Tamara (Tammy Claycamp) Johnson on June 7th, 1986, at Edgar Church of the Plains. Curt and Tammy were blessed with two daughters, Katie and Kaylee. 

Curt grew up on the farm, helping his dad, Darrel alongside his brothers. The family farm was his life, along with his wife and two girls. Curt enjoyed fishing, going to the lake, hunting, shooting blue rock with his girls and being outside in his shop. 

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Tammy of Edgar; Katie and Ethan Dewees of Edgar; Kaylee Johnson and Tyler Schulte of Geneva. Brother Rick Johnson and wife Susie of Clay Center; Allen Johnson and wife Kobi of York; Kevin Johnson of Edgar, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and beloved friends.

Curt was preceded in death by his grandparents Herb and Velma Johnson of Edgar, Darrel and Effie Johnson of Edgar and Matt Johnson of Edgar and several other loved family and friends.
