Dean Wellman

Dean Wellman, 77, Holstein resident, died Friday, September 13, 2019 at St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island, Nebraska. The son of Deloris A. (Lounsburry) and Clarence Wellman, he was born June 3, 1942 in York County, Nebraska. Dean grew up in the York community and received his formal education attending the York schools, graduating with the class of 1960.

A veteran of the United States Navy, following his discharge from service Dean was employed with the Lincoln Telephone Company until his retirement.

Dean was united in marriage with Linda M. Dodson on July 2, 1970 at Reno, Nevada. They lived in Nebraska and Kansas, moving to their home in Holstein, Nebraska in 2010. They enjoyed trips to the Ozarks and Colorado. Linda preceded Dean in death on June 6, 2016.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, 1:00 p.m., September 21, 2019 at the Greenwood Cemetery in York, Nebraska with Rev. Penny Schultz officiating.
