Deanna Wagoner Obituary

Deanna Kay (Booth) Wagoner passed away on April 9th, 2024 at the age of 76 at her home in Gibbon, Nebraska. Deanna was born on November 23, 1947 to Charles and Ruby (Schmidt) Booth in Broken Bow, Nebraska.

She grew up in the Sandhills of Nebraska spending time on her grandparent’s ranch and having adventures with her brother and cousins. After graduating from Broken Bow High School in 1966, Deanna attended Kearney State College where she majored in Elementary Education. There, she met Garry Wagoner from Kenesaw, Nebraska and they were married on June 6th of 1970. In the years to come, they welcomed three children into their family; Abby, Anna Marie, and Phillip. Deanna was employed for many years, but her favorite job was being a wife, mother, and grandmother. Her family will cherish memories of birthdays, holidays, and vacations filled with love and her own special touches.

She enjoyed music, gardening, baking, and sewing. She spent many hours researching and sharing genealogy and family stories. Deanna lived a faithful life in the light of her savior, Jesus Christ.

Living on in her memory, Deanna is survived by her husband, Garry Wagoner, her children Abby (Dave) Beatty of Lincoln, Anna Marie Wagoner of Gibbon, and Phillip (Jenny) Wagoner of Lincoln, three wonderful grandchildren; Evan, Mason, Joel and her brother George Booth in Carlyle, IL. Deanna was preceded in death by her parents; Charles and Ruby Booth and father and mother in-law; Kenneth (Bud) and Vyonne Wagoner. “A mother is a guardian angel and when her duty is met, she returns to take her place in heaven.”
