Debra Rae Buerer

Debra Rae Buerer, 65, of Fairfield died Sunday December 1, 2019 at Bryan Medical Center West in Lincoln Nebraska.

Deb was born on October 23, 1954 in Henderson, Nebraska the daughter of Delbert and Delores (Hicks) Mohnike.  She graduated from Sutton High School with the class of 1973.  On May 21, 1976 she united in marriage to Richard (Dick) Buerer in Grand Island, Nebraska and to this union three children were blessed, Diana, Danielle, and Denise.   

She was a farm wife until her husband passed away in 1990.  Also employed at Bethesda nursing home, Beck’s Farm Equipment in Edgar, and a varied of other jobs over the years. 

Her greatest joy besides her children were her ten grandchildren which kept her busy with all their events which she attended as many as she could. She also enjoyed researching genealogy, helping harvest, and family get togethers

Deb is survived by her three daughters, Diana (Josh) Skrdla of Pierce, NE, Danielle (Brent) Janda of Aurora, NE, and Denise (Philip) Mazour of Lawrence, NE.  Ten grandchildren, Isabelle, Angeline & Evelyn Skrdla, Trevor Alber, Taylor and Hannah Janda, Peyton, Katelyn, Hayden and Brooklyn Mazour.  Boyfriend of many years Donn Hart of Fairfield, NE.  Sister Jacqueline (Marlin) Griess of Sutton, NE; Brothers, Doug (Julie) Mohnike of Seward, NE; Gary (Cathy) Mohnike of Sutton, NE; Merlin Mohnike of Edgar, NE; brother-in-law John Sharkey; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.   

She was preceded in death by her husband Richard “Dick” Buerer, parents, grandparents, brother Steve; sisters, Cheryl and Teri and infant sister Darlene and grandson Jonathan Mazour. 

Funeral services will be held on Thursday 2:00 pm December 5,2019 at the Williams Funeral Home Chapel in Edgar, Nebraska.  Pastor Ethan Feistner will be officiating.  Burial will be held in the Edgar Cemetery, Edgar, NE.  Condolences may be sent to the family at wmsfh.com. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 from 10 am to 7 pm with family present from 5 pm to 7 pm.  Williams Funeral Homes - Edgar Chapel
