Linda M. (Johnson) Cottam

Linda Margret Cottam, 75, of Edgar, Nebraska passed away Thursday, March 16, 2023 at the Sutton Community Home in Sutton, Nebraska.  The daughter of Bartley and Tiny (Swartz) Johnson, she was born July 29, 1947, at South Sioux City, Iowa.

Linda grew and received her formal education in Ashland, Nebraska. She later moved to Edgar where she met her husband, Larry Cottam. They were united in marriage on May 12, 1966. This union was blessed with three daughters and a son. Linda held various jobs in the community while raising her family.

She treasured the time spent with her children and sisters, and she especially enjoyed her grandchildren. One of the highlights they all loved was shopping together.

Preceding her in death were here parents; her husband, Larry Cottam, and her sister, Rose Brennfoerder.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Tammy Lahndorf and fiance, Brandon of Madison, Nebraska; Tracy and Lee Babcock of Fairfield, Nebraska; Kelly and Eric Lovgren of Clay Center, Nebraska; and Jerry Cottam and special friend, Brandy, of Grand Island, Nebraska. Also surviving are five grandchildren, five great grandchildren, five sisters, a brother, nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

A private family interment were Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at the Edgar Cemetery with the Rev. Ethan Feistner officiating.

A memorial fund has been established by the family for later designation.
