Mary F Hansen

Mary Fern Mardella (Blankenbaker) Hansen, was born May 7, 1925 at her childhood home in Inavale, Nebraska to Fern (Strickland and Elmer Edward Blankenbaker. She died March 29, 2021 at Red Cloud, Nebraska.

Following high school she attended college at Kearney, Nebraska where she earned her teaching certificate. She taught country school. Mary was united in marriage with Glen Elden Hansen of Inavale in 1943. This union was blessed with four children, Serena Fern, Lonnie Elden, Glenda Marie and Teresa Anne.

Some of the joy in Mary’s life were being a wife and mother, a homemaker, gardening, her bridge groups and playing cards.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Glen; two brothers, Myrl and Neal; two grandsons and a great granddaughter.

Surviving are her children Serena and Gene Boner; Lonnie Hansen; Glenda and Larry Tietjen, and Teresa . Also left to treasure her memory are her grandchildren, great grandchildren; great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends.

The legacy of Mary - Mama - Mother- Grandma - Grandma Mary - Great Grandma Mary, is to live in happiness and harmony.
