Mary Lou (Johnston) Cooan

Mary Lou Cooan the daughter of Robert and Lillian Johnston was born February 14, 1932 at Tonkawa, OK.  She departed this life on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at the Good Samaritan Center in Superior, Nebraska at the age of 86 years.

Mary Lou graduated from Superior High school and then went to work in Omaha, Nebraska as a secretary as well as New York City and Denver, CO.  It was in Denver that Mary Lou met and married Clarence Clancy Cooan.  This union was blessed with the birth of two children, a son and a daughter.  Clancy attended Rhema Bible Training Center in Tulsa, OK and along with Mary Lou together they pastored in Wisconsin for 12 years and did traveling evangelism for 2 years.  Mary Lou and Clancy also worked at the Living Water Teaching Center in Broken Arrow, OK.

Mary Lou is preceded in death by her parents and husband Clarence.

Survivors include her son James Cooan of Holcombe, WI and a daughter Cindy Kinnison and husband Clark of Kearney, NE; other relatives and her many friends.

Funeral services were Friday 10:30 AM, June 15, 2018 at the Williams Funeral Home Chapel in Superior, Nebraska with Pastor Jon Albrecht officiating. Burial was at the Evergreen Cemetery, Superior, NE.
