Nancy Patton Obituary

Nancy L. Patton, the daughter of Billy LeRoy and Joy Edith (Wellington) Cain, was born September 24, 1941, at Englewood, California. She departed this life on November 9, 2022, at the Brodstone Hospital in Superior, Nebraska at the age of 81 years, 1 month and 15 days.

Nancy grew up in Norwalk, California and received her formal education attending Excelsior High School, graduating with the class of 1959. She was united in marriage with James B. Patton on November 23, 1958, at downing, California. This union was blessed with two sons, James and Bill. Nancy was employed for a number of years with the JC Penny Company and then with Modern Coveralls where she was their warehouse manager. In 2000, they moved to Superior, Nebraska to enjoy their retirement.

In her leisure time she was involved in a number of activities and interests including bowling, fishing, hunting and talking on the CB radio. They especially enjoyed traveling with their camper and set out on endless adventures across the country. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend to everyone to met. Nancy was a member of the Superior Centennial Lutheran Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband James on October 3, 2001; her granddaughter Crystal Cash; daughter-in-law Jo Lynn Patton; and two sisters Cindy Agnew and Patty Cole.

Left to treasure her memory are her sons, James Patton of Apple Valley, California and Bill Patton and wife, Brandi, of Ontario, California; 5 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; a sister, Kathy Deasey and husband, Marvin, of Kentucky; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Graveside services were Wednesday, 2:00 pm, November 16, 2022, at the Evergreen Cemetery in Superior with the Rev. Greg Schaffer officiating.
