Paul Craig McLaughlin the son of Paul and Helen Vap McLaughlin was born September 14, 1936 in Clay County, Nebraska.  He departed this life on Tuesday January 5, 2021 at the Harvard Rest Haven in Harvard, Nebraska at the age of 84 years.

Craig grew up in the Edgar, NE community graduating from Edgar High School.   Craig enlisted in the United States Army for a two-year tour of duty.  Craig was united in marriage to Beverly Koozer and to this union a daughter was born.  This marriage ended in divorce.  Craig worked for a short time at Hastings Land Roller, had worked at Shuck Drilling in Edgar, NE and served as a vice president at what had been the Edgar Security State Bank.  Craig married Barb Crouch to which two sons were born. This marriage ended in divorce.

Craig owned and operated Mac’s Place in Edgar, NE for over 15 years and dearly loved this job.  Craig sold his business in the 1990’s and began to enjoy his retirement years.

In his spare time Craig enjoyed hunting, fishing and always looked forward to visiting with his friends and family,

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Dean, Clark and Bill, sisters: Shirley, Janis, Gayle, and Sallie.

Survivors include his daughter Carrie Swenson; two sons: John McLaughlin and Mark McLaughlin, sisters Sharon Kenley and Linda Bruns, 10 grandchildren other relatives and a host of friends.

Graveside services will be held this Friday 1:00 pm January 8, 2021 at the Edgar Cemetery, Edgar, Nebraska.  Pastor Ethan Feistner will be officiating.  Condolences may be sent to the family at wmsfh.com.  Williams Funeral Home of Edgar, NE is in charge of the arrangements.
