Ricky D Smith

Ricky D. Smith the son of Robert D. and Marquerite G. (Engel) Smith was born November 16, 1952 at Hastings, Nebraska  He passed away on Saturday April 3, 2021 at his home in Superior, Nebraska at the age of 68 years.

Rick had been associated with Mid Nebraska Individual Services of Superior, Nebrsaka for many years.  While with Mid Nebrsaka Rick found employment with Mid-States Development; Superior Good Samaritan Center with housekeeping; the Crest Theatre; the Presbyterian Church, The Department of Social Services as a janitor and had done assembly work for Baldwin Manufacturing.  Rick always had a smile and wave for everyone he would meet, he was a kind and gentle soul.  He will be deeply missed by the entire Mid Nebraska family and the Superior Community.

Among his survivors are his brothers Ivan Smith and Vern Smith and an uncle Bill Smith.

Memorial services will be held this Wednesday 10:00 am April 21, 2021 at the Williams Funeral Home Chapel in Superior.  Pastor Jon Albrecht will be officiating.  Inurnment will be held in the Downs Cemetery, at Downs, Kansas.
