Rita R. Roth

Rita R. Roth, the daughter of Robert C. and Erma F. (Beery) Roth, was born September 15, 1943, at Fairfield, Nebraska. She departed this life on Saturday, August 19, 2023, at Holdrege Memorial Homes in Holdrege, Nebraska at the age of 79 years, 11 months and 4 days.

Rita grew up in the Fairfield community and received her formal education attending the Fairfield schools where she graduated with the class of 1961. Rita later moved to Holdrege where she was employed for a number of years with Christian Homes as an aide in the kitchen department.

In her leisure time Rita had a number of interests and activities including crocheting, knitting and reading. She loved to travel around the country, and she also was an avid Nebraska Husker football fan and race car driving enthusiast.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Robert and Erma Roth, and a brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Clara Roth, also her grandparents, George and Esther Roth, and George and Gertrude Beery.

Left to treasure her memory are a nieces, Thelma Frazier of Iona Park, Texas; and Nadine Wettengel of Richmond, Missouri;  cousins, Martha Lake of Marshalltown, Iowa; Johnathan and Debbie Lake of Corinth, Kentucky and Mary Lake of Marshalltown, Iowa; and her special friends, Teresa and Russ Ostrander of Holdrege, Nebraska.  Rita will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure to know her.

Graveside services will be Saturday, 10:00 am, September 16, 2023, at the Edgar Cemetery with Pastor David King officiating.
