Robert Black Obituary

Robert W. Black (Boobus) was born Sept 5th, 1947.  He was born to Robert F. and Lavon L. (Roth) Black. He departed this life December 1st, 2018.

Bobbie attended and graduated from Fairfield High School in 1965.

After high school, he joined the National Guards and later returned to begin employment with Deweese Sand  & Gravel. He then joined Werner Construction in 1978. He later began employment with Clay County Highway Department in 1994 where he then retired in 2013 and was presently a Supervisor on the Clay County Board. Bob (Boobus) had many friends and people he met along his journey in life. If you knew Bobbie, he always knew you and would greet you in some shape or form that would fit according to how you and he met. Need I say more? He had many friends and relatives, too many to mention, however, I'll try and mention some. Floyd, Dink Meester, as he was one of few who could address him that way, Eddie, Ronnie, Randy, Patsy, Pete, Tommy, his board member friends which he spoke highly of, etc.

Boobus was well known (when asked) for his straight forward opinion and sometimes when he wasn't asked. He is survived by his wife, Lana, his son, Ryan and wife Rosie, 4 grandson's, Tyler, Jordan, Dawson, and Jon. He had a daughter, Bobbie Jean, and sister-in-law, Linda Shaw. Bobbie had 1 brother, Dan and wife Stephany, and nieces, Megan, Kierra, TaKayla and 2 nephew's Treytyn and Gage.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date as Boobus requested. Heaven gained an avid hunter and fisherman as this is what Bob loved and enjoyed in life.

TRIBUTE:

Life is hard and not for us to understand,

We are to believe in trust of his creative hand

Times like this we all ask ourselves why?

Trusting in His decision says see you later, not goodbye

He gave his all until he could give no more

This is when God opened up His door

I see you're here to ask me to come in

I've prepared a place and washed away your sin

As you get older and wise, you begin to see,

This world you inhabit belongs to me.

Carry on with your lives as his wish would be,

For him peace and happiness is forever with me.
