Ronda returned back into the arms of her Lord on August 15th, 2023.

Ronda was born on April 28, 1943, to her parents of Raymond and Emma (Yarbough) Jackson in St Joseph, MO. She was the 7th of 8 children in the family. She enjoyed her large family and was close to them all as she grew up in a small house even for that time. She was also very close to her extended family members that lived close by. One of the things she was most proud of growing up was that all her siblings shared the same initials: RRJ.

Ronda attended Lindbergh Elementary and graduated from Lafayette High School in St Joseph, MO in 1961. She met with many of her friends from High School often for lunch and attended the 55th and 60th Class Reunions and really enjoyed catching up on all her friends’ lives.

Ronda was a member of Maxwell Heights Presbyterian Church, in Saint Joseph, Missouri and as a teenager; she often played the piano and organ for the church.

Ronda married in 1962 and was blessed with 2 children, Philip Owen Hester II and Robin Ann Meyer.  Although that union did not last, she later met and married the love of her life, Larry Lee Hendrix on May 19, 1970.  Wesley Robert Hendrix was born from this union.  Ronda loved Larry and her 3 children, especially her 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

During her life she held numerous jobs and often more than one at a time in order to help support her family. She worked for more than 20 years for Vishay Corporation (Dale Electronics) in Norfolk Nebraska. First on the production floor, and then later in the front office scheduling the production orders.

Ronda made friends easily and was always ready to help out. She had more long time and lifelong friends than most small towns have in total population.

Ronda actually disliked cooking but was a very good at it. She was also very accomplished at canning foods for her family. With her jams and jellies being very popular and were very much sought after. Ronda painted pictures, loved doing several crafts, flower arrangements and crocheted most of which were gifts for family and friends or she donated to the church or other charities. She was also a voracious reader.

Ronda was preceded in death by her parents- Raymond and Emma, brothers Ronald Ray, Ramon Royce, Robert Roy; Sisters Raydeen Ruth Jackson, Ramona Raydeen Clark,  Roberta Rae Hixson, Grandson Matthew Tyler Hendrix and most recently by her husband Larry Lee Hendrix.

Ronda’s living family members include her brother Roger Ross Jackson (Barbara) of Kansas City, MO, Sister-in-law Meri Beth Jackson of St Joseph, MO, Brother in Laws, Bob Hendrix (Carolyn) of Gardner, KS and Dick Hendrix (Linda) of Kearney, MO. Her Children: Philip, Robin (Terry) and Wesley, her Grandchildren: Brianna, Jared, Meghan, Jackson, Amanda, Michael, T.J, Chaylee, Brett, and Tommy. Great Grandchildren: Daniel, Ryne Tyson, Von, Million and Braydon, Numerous Nieces, Nephews, as well as many friends she saw as family.

She will be missed by all.
