Tom L. Mohlman

Thomas Lee Mohlman, the son of Wilbur Dean and Anna Marie (Dealey) Mohlman, was born December 4, 1960 at Red Cloud, Nebraska. Tom departed this life on August 24, 2023, surrounded by his family at his home in Red Cloud on August 24, 2023, at the age of 62 years, 8 months and 20 days.

A lifelong resident of the Red Cloud area, Tom attended the Red Cloud community schools and graduated with the class of 1979. He completed his formal education at Grand Island Central Community College. He was employed for a brief time with Engleside Hospital in Hastings and then returned to the farm in 1984. Tom was also employed for a time with Watson Well Drilling, the Red Cloud Golf Course and Gottsch Feedyard.  On October 18, 1987, he was united in marriage with Debra Scheely at Red Cloud. This union was blessed with two sons, Willie and Thomas. The marriage later ended in divorce.

Tom lived a life filled with compassion and countless cherished memories. An avid sports fan, he was a devoted supporter of the Green Bay Packers. As a sports enthusiast, Tom also followed baseball and boxing and was always ready to engage in conversation with his friends. In his leisure time he enjoyed watching the Star Trek series and old shows on television. He also had a vast collection of toys accumulated through the years. Tom will be remembered for his kindness, resilience, and looked forward to time spent with friends visiting at the bar or over a meal together.

Preceding him in death were his parents; a brother, David Mohlman, and daughter-in-law, Kimberely Mohlman.

Surviving are his sons, Willie Mohlman and Thomas Mohlman both of Red Cloud, Nebraska; four grandchildren; a sister, Julie Rickertsen and husband, Bruce, of Lexington, Nebraska; a brother, Andrew Mohlman and wife, Marla, of Red Cloud, Nebraska; nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends.  

Funeral services will be Thursday, 10:30 am, August 31, 2023, at the Red Cloud Community Center with Jeff Ord officiating. Interment will be at the Red Cloud Cemetery.
Vitiation will be held Tuesday and Wednesday, 9:00 am to 7:00 pm at the Williams Funeral Home in Red Cloud.
