Travis Lee Bailey the son of Rex O. and Dawn (Stratman) Bailey was born January 13, 1975 at Hastings, Nebraska. He went to his heavenly home on Sunday, October 4, 2020 at the home of his parents in Fairfield, Nebraska surrounded by his family at the age of 45 years succumbing to a long battle with cancer.

Travis graduated from Sandy Creek High School at Fairfield, NE and attended Hastings Community College. He had been employed at Ken and Al's Service Station in Fairfield and in 2000 started working for Shuck Drilling in Edgar, NE.  Travis became the well driller.  He enjoyed his job, the people he worked with and the customers he worked for.

Travis was a gifted person with exquisite skills in woodworking and construction.  With the assistance of his parents, his aunt Gayle and uncle Bill Peters he built his home in rural Fairfield.  He also helped his parents with their house addition, his sister's house, his nephew's business in Deweese, his sister-in-law Janeen and Derek's house and several others. His latest project, he designed and had the foundation started for a workshop/shed.  Travis also enjoyed camping and boating activities with friends and family.

Travis was married to Jacqueline Ann Spatz on July 10, 2004.  They raised four children: Austin, Nickolas, Rylee and Karlee.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Leonard and Lena Bailey; Dale and Bernice Stratman and brother in law Gary Davis.

He is survived by his wife Jacqueline Bailey of Fairfield, NE; sons: Austin Richard Bailey and friend Madison Morris and granddaughter Skylyn Lee Bailey of Hastings, NE; Nickolas Rex Bailey of Glenvil, NE; daughters Rylee Ann Bailey and Karlee Rose Bailey both of Fairfield, NE; parents Rex and Dawn Bailey of Fairfield, NE; sister Marcia Davis of Glenvil, NE; father and mother in law AJ and Margaret Spatz of Seward, NE; sister and brothers in laws; Janeen and Derek Sturtevant of Waverly, NE; Kristin and Brian Farber of Lincoln, NE; Kimberly and Jordan Owens of Seward, NE, nieces, nephews other relatives and his many friends.

Funeral services will be held this Thursday 10:30 am, October 8, 2020 at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church in Deweese, NE.  Rev. Cory Harrison officiating.  Rosary services will be held on Wednesday 6:30 pm, October 7, 2020 at the church in Deweese. Interment will be held in the Assumption Catholic Cemetery in Deweese.  Condolences may be sent to the family at wmsfh.com.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the family for designation at a later date.  Williams Funeral Home of Edgar, NE is in charge of the arrangements.
