Valeria Duval

Valeria Mae Kuhlmann Duval was born January 29, 1929, to William and Myrtle (Markwardt) Kuhlmann in Campbell, Nebraska.  She departed this life September 3rd, 2022, in Red Cloud, Nebraska.  The third oldest of eight children, Valeria attended Campbell School and graduated in 1947 alongside her future husband, Harold Duval. They were joined in marriage January 16, 1951, in Red Cloud, Nebraska.  This union was blessed with 3 daughters - Cindy, Jody and Becky.

In 1954, Harold and Valeria made their home on a farm southwest of Campbell where they would live for the next 59 years.  In 2013 they moved to Red Cloud for health reasons.

Valeria was an artistic woman.  She enjoyed decorative tole painting, sewing, knitting, refinishing antique furniture, wheat weaving, quilling and quilting.  She accomplished all this while raising three girls and driving truck during harvest.

Valeria is preceded in death by her husband Harold, son-in-law Larry Erickson, her parents and siblings Billy, Genelle, Orville, LeRoy, Larry, Joe and Richie.

Left to cherish her memory are Cynthia Erickson, Jody (Rodger) Hersh and Becky (Clinton) Hinrichs.  Six grandchildren: Krystal (Ryan) Zimmerman, Brandon (Marci) Hersh, Jacob Heinrich, Rachel Heinrich, John Larson and Lucas (Bailey) Hinrichs.  9 great-grandchildren: Berrick and Marissa Hersh, Grace and Dean Zimmerman, Karlie Larson, Cristian (Ashley), Oslay, Kyarath Molina and Jorge Heinrich.  1 great-great-grandchild: Aurora Molina and numerous nieces and nephews.

Valeria will be laid to rest beside her husband at the New Virginia Cemetery.
