Willis Gene Brown

Willis Gene Brown was born August 27 1936 to Ray and Doris(Delka) Brown in Smith Center, Kansas he departed this life at the age of 84 in the Webster County Hospital on Dec 4, 2020 in Red Cloud, Nebraska. Gene was raised on a farm on the state line of Kansas and Nebraska southwest of Red Cloud before moving to Red Cloud with his family in the late 1940’s and has resided here since.

Gene worked  helping different  farmers thru the years, also doing the odd job for many different people around RedCloud. When he was younger in his leisure time he enjoyed riding motorcycles, hunting, going to auctions and sales where he collected parts for his old tractors he enjoyed working on. In the last few years he enjoyed helping in the garden and helping the kids pick pumpkins and going to the state fair. Gene always had a cat or dog most recently his cat Tom he loved very much. He always had a story or two to tell and enjoyed visiting about guns and vehicles he could always remember what model and year you were driving. During any family get togethers he always noticed if someone got a different vehicle and couldn’t wait to talk to you about it.

Preceding him in death were his parents and niece Pam Derrick and her husband Kenneth.
He is survived by his sisters Connie Markwell and husband Gary  of Hastings Ne, Renee Brown  of Bothell, Washington. Also nieces and nephews and friends.
